Abruzzo

Abruzzo is located on the east cost of central Italy. It covers an area of around 10,794km² with a population of a little over 1.3 million people.

This region was once shared with its neighbouring region of Molise until 1963 when they split to become two separate regions.

This region consists of 4 provinces: Chieti, L,Aquila, Pescara and Teramo, with L,Aquila being the regions Capital.

Whilst Abruzzo boasts an impressive 133 km coast line of the Adriatic Sea ideal for many summer resorts it also boast hundreds of km of winter activities. The best ski resorts being in the Apennines with state of the art facilities making this is a truly all year round region to visit.
