Calabria

Calabria is located in southern Italy as in the toe of the foot. It is situated between Basilicata and the island of Sicily with the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west and the Ionian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea to the south.

The population is around 2,000,000 and covers an area of 15,080 km² (5,822 sq miles).

Calabria has 5 provinces: Catanzaro, Cosenza, Croton, Reggio di Calabria and Vibo Valentia of which Catanzaro is the regions Capital.

This region is known for its 600 miles of white sandy beaches with crystal clear waters and its ancient and rustic charm. With its four mountain ranges, three national parks and numerous lakes Calabria is increasing in tourism and it a stunning region of Italy for anyone to visit.
