Aosta Valley is located to the North West of Italy boarding France and Switzerland. It is the smallest region in Italy cover only . . kmē. . . with a population of a little over 128,000 people.
The only province of the Aosta Valley is Aosta. The region is surrounded by the beautiful mountain peaks of Cervino, Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso and the king of them all, Mont Blanc which stands at 15,781 feet and is the highest mountain in Europe.
The Alps in Aosta Valley have an abundance of ski resorts, the area is saturated with magnificent scenery, castles and architecture and is the home of Italy's fist national park "Grand Paradiso". For those who are not into familiar with the region, Aosta Valley can be easily overlooked, this region is most definitely one not to be overlooked.
